How it's calculated
- Unanswered calls a month = calls per day × % unanswered × 30.
- Lost bookings = unanswered calls × % that would have booked. Not every call is a booking: many are questions, suppliers or guests already staying. So we start from 20%, a cautious assumption you can change.
- Revenue = lost bookings × nights per booking × average rate, never more than your rooms × 30 nights.
- This is an estimate based on your inputs, not an industry statistic. If you don't know how many calls you miss, check the missed-calls log on your phone for a week.
